Celebration Wall Hanging Quilted and Bound

I am so glad to finish this wall hanging. I was debating whether to keep the quilt top or not since it was damaged too much.

It is my first quilt that I only used solid fabric with new starch that I purchased to try. I normally use Magic Sizing, and I plan to go back to it after experiencing color bleeding and chemical odor that makes my eyes stink.

Anyway, the result was terrible that I had to wash the top! Even with a gentle wash, the stain didn’t disappear, and I ended up with the most wrinkly top that I never had!

But, I am happy with my decision to finish this quilt. I practiced ruler work and feathers on it without too much pressure to be perfect.

One of the most important lessons I learned is that I need to record the quilting recipes for each block and pattern. I thought it would be just enough to take photos expecting to remember all the marks, measurement, and the rulers I used. But, of course I forgot…

But, I love the result, and I adore the design. It is hung in my living room.
