To prepare your quilt for long arm quilting,
Make sure all seams are nicely pressed and flat.
Make sure your quilt is squared.
Make sure your backing is at least 6” and batting is 4” larger than the quilt top on all sides so that it can be loaded properly onto the frame.
If you need to piece your backing, please sew in horizontal seam. Here is a video link to show how. If you have questions about backing, please feel free to contact me.
Make sure your batting is wrinkle free as much as possible. If it is from a package, put it in the dryer with a damp towel to reduce the wrinkle.
If your quilt top or backing materials are not pressed properly, there will be additional charge of $25 per hour for ironing.
