Celebration Wall Hanging Quilt
Today I am sharing my new wall hanging quilt that I designed with my Celebration block.
The Celebration block is one of the blocks that I designed to remember my stillborn and only son, Davis. It was a fun and satisfying process making it. I say satisfying because I was able to match most points and corners! - Thanks to starch and advanced sewing machine technology π.
Also, I enjoyed using solid color fabrics, and I love how it emphasizes the quilt pattern! However, I learned some critical lessons about dealing with solid fabrics by experience, especially ironing. My iron is not the perfect one if there is one. It drips unexpectedly once a while that I canβt prevent! Anyway, it shows obvious marks once there are drops from the iron. I think they will go off once washed, but it certainly takes off the joy of new and crisp quilt.
I recommend this quilt for confident beginners up. If you are a piecer, I think you will find great satisfaction matching the points and corners as I did. And, if you are a quilter, it provides plenty of room to show off your quilting! I think this quilt will look gorgeous not only with feathers and soft designs, also geometric modern designs.
I will leave cutting information below if you want to try make one for you π. Assembling the block is very similar to my 12βx12β Celebration block. Please check out this post if you need. And, once you make one, donβt forget to share with #DavisSamplerQuilt and @pierce_st _goodies.
